The Section of Pediatric Critical Care physicians take care of patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) at University Medical Center and Tucson Medical Center, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is always an Intensivist on service. Pediatric Intensivists are pediatricians, but they only take care of the most critically ill patients in the intensive care settings and don't see patients on an out-patient basis.
