The University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics considers the applications of International Medical Graduates. Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification is REQUIRED.
Answers to some commonly asked questions:
- USMLE Score Requirements: We do not publish score requirements, nor do we publish the number of allowable attempts to pass. However, please be assured that the entire application is considered when selecting candidates, not just test scores.
- Medical School Graduation Date: We do not specify a maximum number of years since graduation from medical school.
- Visa sponsorship: J1 (sponsored by ECFMG) is preferable. H1B sponsorship in considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Clinical Experience: UNITED STATES clinical experience (4-6 months) is strongly encouraged.
- Pre-match positions: We do not offer pre-match positions.
- Observerships: observerships are not offered at this institution.
