The University of Arizona Department of Pediatrics considers the applications of International Medical Graduates. Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification is REQUIRED.
Answers to some commonly asked questions:
- USMLE Score Requirements: We do not publish score requirements, nor do we publish the number of allowable attempts to pass.
- Medical School Graduation Date: We do not specify a maximum number of years since graduation from medical school.
- Visa sponsorship: J1 (sponsored by ECFMG) is preferable, though we may consider H1B sponsorship.
- Clinical Experience: 6 months of UNITED STATES clinical experience is required (observerships do qualify as clinical experience, however, hands-on experience is preferred).
- Pre-match positions: We do not offer pre-match positions.
- Observerships: The University of Arizona does not offer observerships at this institution.
