For children and teens admitted to the hospital, we have a big, bright, beautiful playroom. It is located within University Medical Center on 3 East. The playroom is staffed by volunteers who supervise playroom activities and a child life specialist who will help your child cope with medical treatments and provide support throughout your child's hospital stay.
Bedside activities can be arranged and siblings of a sick child are welcome to take part in playroom events if family supervision is provided.
Playroom hours:
Monday - Friday
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
1:15 pm to 8:00 pm.
Playroom hours vary in the evenings and on weekends so please check with your child's nurse
