Dr. Berg is a physician-scientist member of the Sarver Heart Center CPR research group. Over the last three decades, the team has pioneered the role of chest compression only CPR in cases of sudden cardiac arrest in adults. This approach has now gained the endorsement of the American Heart Association and is gaining acceptance and use worldwide. Dr. Berg's specific areas of interest include CPR performance, energy dosing in pediatric defibrillation and education. Additionally he serves as a volunteer member of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) subcommittee of the Emergency Cardiac Care Committee of the American Heart Association.
